Rugby, a game which has been around since 1823, is now played in over 125 countries throughout the world. Rugby refereeing, at all levels, provides real opportunities for travel and subsequent friendship withothers in the game.
Entry Level Referee Award
This course is primarily an introduction for those who wish to take up the whistle.
It is a two and a half day course lasting approximately 15 hours total during which the candidates will develop their ability to apply the Laws within the spirit of the game. They will also discover the ideals of safety and protection of others. Learn how to establish effective working relationships and handle and communicate information.
The days are divided into theoretical and practical refereeing sessions. Successful completion allows the candidate to referee at their local club, school matches and junior rugby games, so get ready to start blowing your whistle around the Balearic Islands!
This is your first step toward a rewarding and enjoyable time in the game of rugby. And the best seat at the ground!
